It was in 1995 that the Noailles family set their eyes on a small field 90 km away from Mercedes, Province of Corrientes and they could not believe the natural beauty they witnessed. In 1997, when the nature reserve was only a water skiing area, they felt the need to share this inhospitable paradise with local visitors so they built a cabin in the only grove in the colony, not knowing that it would soon be attracting visitors from all over the world.
Ever since, through a combination of hard work, enthusiasm, vision and family cooperation, Ñandé Retá, which means “Our Place” in Guarani, has become one of the preferred destinations of the Esteros del Iberá.

Ricardo Paniagua
It’s been over fourteen years that Ricardo is part of Ñandé Retá. He started as a guide and today is the general manager. He was one of the oldest guides in the area and such is the love and passion he feels for birds and nature that he sometimes acts as the main guide in safaris.
Sebastián González
Who visits Ñandé Retá can notice the warm presence of Sebastián. He multitasks in the inn. Why? He is a waiter, a guide, he cooks for the team in his spare time and he is always decorating the Lodge lounge. For more than ten years he was a park ranger in the Iberá Nature Reserve, learning not only about nature but also about how shellfish gatherers in the area survived. Today he is close to studying a degree in Tourism and continues to share experiences with guests.
Martín Ledezma
He began working in 2001 as a naturalist guide to the municipal campsite, later joining the Ñandé Retá family and becoming one of the nature reserve’s best guides. Whether it’s a boat safari or a night trek, Martin makes the adventure in Iberá complete with stories, culture and new knowledge. He also loves music, plays the bandoneon in his group “La Nueva Mezcla Chamamecera” and makes the Nights of
Barbecue and Chamamé unforgettable moments.
Dario Martín
One of the key pillars in the design of our excursions and the attention of our guests. The presence of Dario can be noticed every day at the Lodge as well as a guide in our Safaris. He collaborates in the reception desk and is always available to our guests so as to assist them in whatever they need. He also shares his experience in Esteros del Iberá.
